Silly Hooters

I went to hooters for the second time in my life today. The first being 9 years ago. I had wings and lots of beer. The wings are pretty damn good.
It's sad that I have to go to such a tacky establishment to get damn good wings.
It's sad that I won a hat and now I have a hat that says "Hooters" on it.
I'll probably go again too, because the wings were that good... damn you Hooters.

Perl

Been doing work with Perl for the first time recently. I like it, a lot. I can't believe I've avoided it all this time. Obviously not the best for every possible application, but it was easy to learn the basics and now I'm chugging along really well. Lexical scoping is the shit; so much more intuitive, to me. More flexible data structures would be appreciated though. Maybe this will occur in 6. This is my meaningless blurb about Perl.

The end of This Year

This years Luminato has come to a sad, sad end. I'm not necessarily sad that it's over. My body aches, and has been aching for at least 4 days. I've done way too many things over the last 10 days. So many things that my mind is still spinning endlessly.
The sadness is in the fact that what should have been an unbelievable show turned out to be "meh" because nobody had a good view of the show. HtO park is a fabulous park. In fact, all of the new features found down at Toronto's harbourfront are just fabulous.
The problem? HtO park is hilly, tree-filled, and fantastic.
You put a stage in front of hilly, tree-filled, and you get a HORRIBLE VIEW from all directions. That's what makes it sad.
For the short bits that I did manage to see of this Cirque De Soliel show, I have to say: "Wow." It's just too bad I didn't get to see more.
