Ok I have put this here in article form since it is going to be too long for a news post. Let me know if you know most of these cartoons or if you can think of some that are missed. For our dear american friends, do not be discouraged if we don't know all the cartoons of which you speak, we're not U.S of A people, we're Canadian people! Disclaimer: Because this is on my list does not mean that I endorse or watched the following cartoons. To each their own if they thought some sucked. These are just the ones that I recall. If you don't remember some of these I found that when I had a visual much more came back to me. Try hunting down some 80's cartoon websites, there are some good ones out there with sound clips and all. I know that I personally feel we were blessed with the best cartoons ever. Cartoons now stink, they are so boring!!! I used to get my butt up school day at 5:45 am to watch Hercules, Astroboy and then Thundercats before Mom had to leave for work and I with her. Man I didn't appreciate what I had till it was gone. I want to be a kid again. Of course..not a kid now..a kid then! Yey! Here goes:
The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin,Hercules ( a fave of mine, athough Helena screaming was annoying and I wanted to break Toot's stupid lute! lol or whatever the hell it was), The Little Prince, Ewoks, Pound Puppies, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Barbrapoppa's (BOOYA), Beetlejuice, Belle and Sabastian ( It was about a kid and their dog,the dog looked like a Saint Bernard-not many remember this one), The Bisketts, California Raisins ( In grade school I had california raisin converse sneakers..oh what I wouldn't give to have those back man!), Captain Caveman and Son, Flintstone Kids ( How do the Flintstones have a Christmas Special if Christ wasn't born yet, I knew Christmas wasn't about Jesus!!!), The Carebears, Go Bots, COPS ( a fave of my brothers ), Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Denver the Last Dinosaur ( he's my friend and a whole lot more la la la), Gummibears ( dashing and daring, FILL IN THE REST PEOPLES...),Dr.Snuggles, Droids, Maxie's World, Moon dreamers, My little pony ( I was head of the my little pony club for two months in grade two- thank you thank you ), Snorks, Fat Albert, Fantastic Max, Fraggle rock, Frankenstones ( frankstien people but in flintstone times!), Garfield, Heathcliff, Ghostbusters, The get along gang, The Glo Friends ( I had two of these decided they needed to learn to swim and they ...well stopped glowing and got moldy! Yack!), He-Man, She-ra ( have two episodes on tape, one featuring her dashingly over piped brother), Punky Brewster, Jetsons, Jem and the Holograms, Astroboy ( he rocked!), Lady Lovelylocks ( had some crap of hers that I stuck in my hair, I was a " punk" and i didn't know it, Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, The littles, Madballs, Mighty Mouse ( as mentioned by linky!), Muppet babies, My pet Monster ( I think I had the monster once, wonder where the heck he went!), Popples, Pee-Wee Herman ( Ok not a cartoon but I still thought it was funny so it counts), Pac Man, Paddington Bear, Police Academy, Poochie, Potato Head Kids,Racoons, Robo Cop, Rose Petal Palace, Transformers ( more then meets the eye), Wuzzles.

This is a beautiful list! And it makes me long for the Cartoon Network! :-) Well, hmm... Let's see, did you include Scooby Doo? And I'm such a huge Mighty Mouse fan.

Oh yeah Scooby-Doo and my husband is bitching at me to mention some show called MASK?!?! No clue, must have been about cars and or war cause that would mean I had no interest in it!

Bean says "You forgot Pizza Cats"...and Bravestarr! I remember Bravestarr!! I remember so many of those...even though I'm technically not old enough...But I remember...I miss them...She-ra was always my favourite, especially because she had a flying unicorn...

*MEMORIES*
I have to add Inspector Gadget and Yogi Bear to that list.
Seriously, about two weeks ago I was at one of my spoiled friend's houses who has satellite TV--among all the stations this nifty channel called "Nogan." It reran Pete and Pete, and Clarissa Explains It All--two of my favorite childhood shows, back when Nickolodean used to be great. This of course prompted me to go home and freqeunt the "Classic NIck" web page and read through page after page about my beloved childhood shows.
Huge digression ... but all sparked by your wonderful post!
