TD Canada Trust...again

I was trying to find store hours on the TD website a couple days ago, so I used the Branch Locator. Well, apparently there isn't a branch in my city, even though I've been to it several times. So I tried to find their number and got some lady's house. That was annoying but I didn't figure there was much I could do, so I sent them a little note on their feedback thing, telling them the branch locator denied the existance of my branch. This is what I got back:

Hello,

I appreciate your interest in verifying the business hours for your branch. Thank you for taking the time to write.

For immediate assistance, I encourage you to call EasyLine toll free at 1-866-222-3456. Please press “0” after the identification process to speak with a Banking Specialist who will be pleased to assist you. Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are not registered for EasyLine, kindly press “2” and then “0” to speak with a representative. Alternatively, please feel free to visit the branch nearest you for assistance. For your convenience, branch contact information can be located on our website here:

TD Canada Trust - Locator

As email is not a secure channel for transmitting information, I regret that I’m unable to identify your portfolio and assist you via this medium.

I hope this direction is helpful. Thank you once again for writing.

Warm regards,

Chris Reaburn
Internet Correspondence Representative

What the hell? So I wrote back:

Thank you for responding so quickly to my question, even if you didn't bother to read all of it. I don't mean to seem confrontational, but the line "For your convenience, branch contact information can be located on our website here: TD Canada Trust - Locator " tells me that you weren't paying attention. I tried the branch locator. My branch does not exist according to it. That is why I asked what to do. Thinking about it, that was my only question. Also, the suggestion that I feel free to visit the branch nearest me for assistance, doesn't do me much good if I don't know when that branch is open because I can't find it's hours.

~Athena McCormick.

PS: When I put my money in your TD Canada trust, I am loaning it to the bank. Without customers, TD Canada trust would cease to be. In spite of this, I submit to service charges, inconvenient hours, lax security and indecently long lines. Please don't insult me by not even bothering to read a simple question before you brush it off as someone else's problem.

Good grief, that bank is a mess. I need to be in buttford when I have free time so I can switch over to PC banking. Lord.

by the way, it didn't say 301 moved permanently in the thing...it had the branch locator thing there as well

you forgotted the trailing / on the url :) it automatically redirects you to the page with a /, with a code 301, permanetly moved, which is why that showed. of course, you probably care not for the technical reason PoC showed that :P

also, TD/CT sucks. I banked with CT for many years before I got tired of being raped by service charges. As I've stated before, I'm only have the same thing happen (although to a lesser extent) at RBC. I still never got around to starting a switch to PC. I'm so lazy!

Hehe.. according to the finder, these 3 are close to you...

Branch at GLENDALE and HWY 406, ST CATHARINES 2.31 km
Branch at QUEEN and KING, ST CATHARINES 5.43 km
Branch at GENEVA and QEW, ST CATHARINES 7.32 km

What's your malfunction? :)

typing "St. Catharines", "Saint Catharines", "St. Catherines", "Saint Catherines" or any other variation on the theme came back with some message about checking to make sure I had no errors and trying again. I tried it again after I got my email to make sure I didn't make an arse of myself...same result. So it's working now? Weirdness. :)

Stupid ass locator....I don't even live in the same city as the one I was trying to find. Anywho, the internet service guy wrote and appologized for mentioning the branch locator.

SEEERRRVICE CHARGES [points finger angrily]

... and that is the extent of my contribution to this conversation. (except that i also saw "MISS STEVEENNNSS [retarded hand motions]" a few days ago laughed violently.)
