Sorry, Conor, I didn't hear the driving instructor when he repeated, over and over, "You must yield for pedestrians." (At least, that's what the Hamilton traffic cop told me after I plowed over a crossing guard.)

Hahaha... ah yes, the wonderful Drivers of Hamilton! You have to love them, really. I love them when they cut me off. I love them when they swear at me for no reason when I'm just peacefully driving down the road. Most of all, I love how they give you a dirty look if you do less than 70km/h up the hill on the James --> U. Wellington mountain access, but then when they hit the curve they slow down to 35 and they STILL can't keep their fucking cars in the lines. The sheer ineptitude is... sobering.

I don't know about Hamilton, but I know that I dread my walk across the bridge on Wayne Gretzky Parkway in Brantford. Last week I was crossing the road at a green light when a transport truck tried to turn into the lane that I was about to cross. Instead of waiting like a decent person, he sped up to make the turn before I stepped infront of him. As he was turning, I guess that another driver about to turn from the other direction and didn't realise that I was crossing... He nearly hit me, then honked his horn at me and gave me the finger as if *I* were the one to blame for my my own near death!
I usually take the bus now.

was that yesterday afternoon between 3:30-4:00 at the lights leading to the front entrance of the mall? if so, i was driving out of the mall, and couldn't figure out why the fuck both lanes of traffic stopped when he was on a ramp lane and i was finishing the turn in the inside lane...

... he being the truck driver...
