Personally, I don't care what he thinks of me. We do, though, both have the right to share our opinions of each other. And this is mine ;)

But, Marc Saltzman is one of those guys that people keep going to as an "industry expert". He's not an expert. He's just a guy that knows and interviews a fair amount of people in the industry because he started a few years ago. He really doesn't have much more insight than a lot of people that post on /. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time and the media keep calling him back because they are too lazy to look deeper.

I still don't actually know how you linked Saltzman with my original post, but anyways...

There were 2 articles by Saltzman in this months "Feature" magazine. So I read them, and really... meh. I can't say they're horrid, but they're definitely "dumbed" down articles. But, that doesn't make him a bad journalist. If his task is to give information to the general populous, he's doing an ok job. Now, if his book is also of this caliber, then it's not going to do much for people like you, Mike, that already know certain things about programming and the gaming industry - and thus, he's really just giving a bunch of wannabe's hope when they still need knowledge and skill...

Linked by the fact I despise both him and George... who both worked for the Edge. Thinking of hatred for George brings with it hatred for those associated with him.

Now, as for Mark... he's just an idiot. My other posts include enough loathing for this subject already :)
