I woke up early today to head off to the evil empire of Wal-Mart to attempt to get a Wii.

I showed up at about 7:45 and the line up was 60 or 70 deep. Not too bad, and of course nobody knew the inventory numbers - so it was just a wait and see game.

When the doors opened the management of this shit-hole wal-mart failed or organize anything useful and well, once the orderly line figured out there was no order the mad dash to the electronics section was on.

Somehow I shifted up a few spots, but as it turns out that wouldn't matter. I could visibly see that there were 16 boxes plus a couple that were already unpacked. That meant there were just above 50 Wii's to be purchased.

As the line trickled away, the box count lowered and I was nearing the point of actually getting one. Until some idiot and his kid both bought one. Where's the control? Who cares, it's wal-mart making money not making happy customers.

Needless to say, my luck prevailed and I was the first prize winner in the "sorry, they're all gone" sweepstakes.

The humour in most of it was that as soon as I walked out the door empty handed there were four or five idiots already trying to sell them off. Yeah, I'll give you $279 for it. Jackasses.

Yeeeeehaw.
