Ubuntu 7.10, Ardour, etc.

One fantastic thing I have learned from using Ubuntu for several months: if there's something major you can't get working, you can probably just wait a while.
I was disappointed that under 7.04 I couldn't get Ardour to work at all. I have no idea what was wrong with it, but I just did the Gutsy upgrade (D, those weird folders appeared for me too), and poof, suddenly Ardour works like a charm...
... and does it ever. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a piece of software. I fear I may now find myself compelled to record all day instead of doing my work.

I don't normally point out spin offs of Ubuntu since most of them don't have the long term backing that the real Ubuntu has, but this one looks pretty hawt.
