ah yes, that was a long walk with a cooler :) i should see how far it was... here i come google maps.

so it looks like it was approximately 14km. I'm pretty sure I've walked further in one of these locations: Boston, New York City, London, UK. But, as those walking paths were so random there's no way I could map them.. all I can do is throw some time on them; Boston was 8 hours (daytime), NYC was 7 hours (daytime), and London was 6 (midnight to 6am, woot).

I thought we walked further in Ottawa... but from my (rough) mapping of the area it looks like it was only 10. Then again we did walk down Rideau a couple times...

Anyway, the map is pretty tough to get right because of all the dumb one way streets in Ottawa: Google Maps

You need to cheat and create your own map. I don't use the directions... click on 'my maps' create a new one, then you can draw a line from all the points, as you drag it along it tells you how far...

and yeah, I forgot about that long walk in ottawa.
