I bought a new mac book pro out of the sheer insanity of my mind. I really didn't need it but I got it.

And now I'm pretty glad I did. My old one was nearing the end of it's life as far as a battery was concerned. I was only getting an hour to an hour and a half at most on regular usage. So instead of buying a new battery that would yield me 3 hours of usage I bought a new laptop that offered me 7 hours of battery life.

So far, this battery that apple has provided in their new laptops is PHENOMENAL. I say so far because I know that it will eventually deplete and start sucking, but hopefully in the 3 years I have this laptop apple care will gracefully replace my dying batteries.

I'm averaging 6-6.5 hours of battery usage, which is ultimately unheard of in any laptop of decent power. And power this thing has. It's faster than my old one, runs cooler than my old one and dammit, it's just silent (I haven't heard the fans yet)..

Strictly based on battery life this laptop rocks my socks. The end.
