Do the dead long for life?

Do they long for love?

... the one for whom i would stake my life upon eh? ...

I had a discusssion earlier this evening. I've realized that I may be more detached from reality than previously noted. I find it hard to identify with anything tangeable, with anything I can feel beyond the numbness. I don't believe I can function as others of society do. I'll never be suited for anything they consider to be typical, and it's harder and harder to believe that unless I start preparing now, I'll be able to display any semblance of survival doing what makes me passionate. I hold what Lincoln said to be true to myself; I loathe people as a whole, yet I want to change the world for the better, for them and myself. Maybe with something new being offered, they could change. Often, I believe my reasons are personal, and my own personal interests can be attributed to these desires for renewal. However, if through my own personal conquest to make the world more tolerable for myself and those I love, others invariably become fulfilled and/or enlightened, then so be it.

These are just the echoes of a madman.

Or, in all aspects of what you've noted, these feelings (or perhaps as you fear, lack of feelings) perfectly reflect your type of personality (which I already guessed upon): Idealist

According to the the Keirsey sorter (Mark II), based on Myers-Brigg's work, this rare type of person goes through EXACTLY these internal conflicts. Though as a whole these Idealist represent approximately 8-10% of the population, the specific types of Idealist (numbering 4), represent about 2% each.

Linky = Tested as Idealist
Thunkerchiken = Idealist
Athena = Idealist
Me = Idealist
You = ??? (Idealist)

All these people have taken the test (I'm quite the fan of it), and although your Temperment will also play a part, your Personality from when I first met you, and you discussed religions with me at the Gavel and Hammer (or whatever that place is called), I penciled you in as an Idealist. When you brought up your interest in MAUS, I knew for sure. But that's just my own personal experience in identifying and categorizing people operating. Which Idealist have a natural ability for. Curious? Want to take the test? Have an hour available to chat? Get labeled. ;)

I've tested Conor and Darryl but I'd like to re-test them because group settings confound results. Anyone else interested?

Being idealists, we are, in a way, like the witch doctors of modern society. We will find niches as priests, pop icons, authors, journalists, artists. We will help those in the world who are not natively capable to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and to change their own lives, and in exchange, society will support us. There will be no need for exploitation, because we will be useful in that capacity.

Sometimes I think that in terms of occupations for which cash is generally given as a reward, my whacked out, fucked up brain is all that I have to offer. ;)
