World of Warcraft is my anti-everything. I play it a bunch and just recently a feature was added to the game. “Recruit-A-Friend” gives you a rick-diculous bonus to experience gained when you go around killing monsters with your recruited friend. I have some visuals to share with you.
First, there are three distinctive roles that can be adopted: Tank, Healer and DPS. The Tank uses their abilities to keep the attention of some/many monsters and tanks beatings. The Healer, as you’ve already guessed, makes sure the Tank does not die by healing them. DPS stands for Damage Per Second and refers to all characters whose role it is to cause damage to the monster(s) thus eventually vanquishing said monster(s), yielding experience and phat loot.
As a Warrior I’ve played the role of Tank for 2.5 years and the DPS version of a Warrior as well at the over-power DPS Warlock. I’ve been wanting to try a Healer role but haven’t had the patience to make one. However, now that we’ve got RAF going… I’ve made a male Tauren Druid to heal with and my recruited friend has made a female Blood Elf Paladin to Tank/DPS.
Apparantly this combo has been done before and while wildly inappropriate, this was sent my way.
For those of you who are still reading I have below a series of comics that describe the mechanics of how a Druid healer does their thing. A true Druid healer can turn into the Tree of Life, receiving a 20% or 25% or some other such insane increase to the healing they dish out. You now know enough to read the following:
