I finally got around to ditching Bell as my cell phone carrier.
It felt good to knock my bill of idiotic proportions and $54/month+normal usage down to $22.60 on a plan that covers my normal usage.
I have no contract, and I haven’t paid a cent for a phone. If I leave them tomorrow I owe them $75 for it. That’s peanuts compared to the beating customers would have to take for the big contracts.
And yes, I am aware that Koodo is run by Telus and Telus is a “big gun” — but I chose the lesser evil and hopefully they remain the lesser evil.
It’s also nice to be able to get pictures off my phone without having to pay Bell 50 cents a piece. (even sending pictures via koodo is only 25 cents, far more reasonable)
So, bye bye Bell!
